The Shaker Figure Skating Club, founded in 1971, is dedicated to providing a warm community to foster growth and excellence for all disciplines within the sport of figure skating. SFSC makes its home at the Thornton Park Ice Rink and is one of the largest US Figure Skating affiliated clubs in the state of Ohio. We are the home club for a diverse membership from all over the greater Cleveland area and offer activities for female and male skaters of all ages and levels.

SFSC strives to host a wide variety of programs including private club ice and training clinics, workshops and seminars, testing opportunities, exhibitions, competitions, and social activates for all of our members. Each winter, SFSC hosts the Ohio High School Team Figure Skating Championships (OHHS), a fun and unique competition which is the highlight of the year for many skaters all over the state. At the end of December, we host our annual Winter Holiday Exhibition which is more intimate and relaxed and perfect fun for all of our members. Each May, SFSC participates in the Spring Ice Spectacular hosted at the Thornton rink by the City of Shaker Recreation Department which draws full houses and provides glittering entertainment.

We currently has over 160 active members consisting of skaters, parents, coaches, and judges, all dedicated to the sport of figure skating in all its forms: freestyle, pairs, dance, showcase, synchro and theater on ice.
