USFS National Program Components Camp in Strongsville

Did you know that U.S. Figure Skating’s National Program Components Camp will be coming to Ohio? We are pleased to announce this year’s camp will take place April 21-23 in Strongsville, Ohio. We have a great line up for coaches, faculty and athlete volunteers. Faculty includes Tanith White, 2017 U.S. Pairs Bronze Medalists, Ashley Cain and Timothy LeDuc, and many other Team USA members!

The focus of the camp is for the competitive skaters to develop skills to improve their scores in the five components areas: Skating skills, Interpretation of Music, Composition, Transitions and Performances.

Athletes should have passed a minimum of pre-juvenile FS test, juvenile MIF test and have plans to compete at the 2018 Regional Figure Skating Championships at the Juvenile level or higher.

The theme of the camp this year is, “Passport to the podium.” The groups will be named by country and each group will not only be immersed  in a skating experience, but also a cultural experience which will include a performance to music of the group’s country name at the end of the week.

The camp will also feature a 3-day Coaches IJS Educational Forum, a Parents’ Education Track and a S.T.A.R.S. combine.

All detailed information about the camp including hotel, travel and sample schedule is included on the U.S. Figure Skating website here.
